Our Founder – Sharon Carroll
Sharon Carroll is an accomplished professional harpist with a career spanning Ireland, the UK, Germany, and Italy. She provides live music for church weddings, civil ceremonies, private functions, and corporate events, impressing audiences ranging from intimate gatherings to VIPs, including members of the royal family, politicians, and celebrities.
Her extensive performance experience includes entertaining The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, as well as celebrities such as Brian Kennedy, Peter Corry, Mary Peters, David Walliams, Timothy Spall, Tim McGarry, Dan Gordon, Paul Rankin, Michael Dean, Rory Best, Stuart Neville, and John Hume.
The Music
Having learned the harp from a young age, Sharon has always had a natural talent and deep affinity for the instrument. She is known for her flawless technique, impeccable presentation, and innate musicality, delivering performances that resonate with audiences of all kinds.
Her repertoire spans traditional Irish music, classical pieces, and popular tunes, and her recent album has been praised for its timeless interpretation of the harp’s story through music.
Teaching & Online Learning
Sharon is also the Director of the Carroll School of Harp in Newry, Co. Down, where she teaches students of all ages. Her teaching method helps learners gain confidence quickly, master essential skills, and enjoy playing even the most complex pieces with ease and grace.
